At present the organization is working in 57 VDCs and one Municipality of Dhanusha and 18 VDCs and 1 Municipality of Mahottari District but according to necessity this organization can expand its work to any district of Nepal.

Women Empowerment

The CFWA takes women empowerment as one of the main approach and area of work into all its program and projects. The organization believes that without the empowerment of women the positive lasting changes in the lives of people is not possible. With the same spirit, the organization has profound experience of implementing projects which were mainly centered at women empowerment. In this connection, CFWA implemented one project of three years period named Chunauti, USAID supported project to address the issues of child marriage, dowry and gender based violence under which adolescent girls, women were mobilized to make them enable to stop child marriages and gender based violence.
Likewise, the organization has been able to organize poor, vulnerable and excluded women and girls in various groups and build their capacity to identify their needs, ways to increase their access and utilization to basic services and claim their rights. In addition, the women groups were also mobilized to enhance their livelihood conditions and social positions. Furthermore, through women empowerment approach, the organization has contributed a lot in improving their health status mainly maternal, and child health. Likewise, the access to information has been increased through radio listeners group which empower the women in terms of information rights.
Likewise, the organization has utilized its expertise of social mobilization and behavior change communication for making girls and women aware and empowered. In this connection, the organization used its theater group to create awareness against harmful practices that negatively affect the condition and position of girls and women. Various advocacy campaigns were also conducted to raise the voice of women and girls at community, district and national levels.
